We are a World of Warcraft roleplaying guild on the EU Steamwheedle Cartel RP server.
The Way of Malorne is an ultra-traditionalist Kaldorei religious movement. Our characters:
We focus almost exclusively on RP, so our characters and our long, dark, rather gothic storylines tend to get fairly complex. Our characters regularly gather to exchange news and celebrate their rites, but most of our RP is action-oriented, including some PvE and occasionally PvP. We don't do progression raiding or rated BGs as a guild, but some of us do those things with other groups.
We're keen storytellers, but mostly casual players of WoW; several of us have kids and/or demanding jobs, so we're used to having people who only drop by from time to time, or who arrive late, or who sometimes need to leave at a moment's notice. We eventually kick members who don't participate at all. Low-level alts are welcome, but we do use endgame content for some of our RP, so levelling up is encouraged.
We hold RP events at least twice a week, generally starting at 21.00; we also often meet up for more casual RP whenever it suits us. Non-members, of any Alliance race, are generally welcome to join our RP; only Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and (obvious) Warlocks or Shadow Priests are asked to stay away, unless you want to RP being chased or eviscerated. Mages or indeed any non-Kaldorei are likely feel fairly unwelcome in-character, but as players we'll be happy to have you with us.
Our characters can be unpleasant at times, but out-of-character we're a very friendly bunch. If you're an easy-going person who's able and willing to roleplay our way, there's a place for you in the guild; just check out our forum and send a (draft) profile to Aldrannath. Beginners are welcome; the only requirements are a relaxed attitude, a non-silly RP style, and a decent character profile - which we can help you write, if necessary.
Our guild forum has stories, character profiles, and way more information than you could possibly need, but if you have any questions, feel free to wisp Aldrannath/Thelnaya/Imrasz, Caranir/Krastan or any member.
The Way of Malorne is an ultra-traditionalist Kaldorei religious movement. Our characters:
- travel widely in order to understand and obey the will of Malorne;
- reject arcane magic and the ways, tools and close companionship of other races;
- fight to defend the Balance from Her many enemies;
- practice ritualised hunting, including ritual slaughter, as a central part of the rites of worship.
