Jumping through the dark portal, Shanna knew what needed to be done. The creature was killed and the energies that it brought forth were fading from the world. But she could not let the Elder enter the collapsing portal, After all the Elder would be needed in the coming times. Not even really thinking about the dangers, Shanna jumped after Amplisa. What is this place...? It felt like being stuck between the Emerald Dream and a nightmare! It felt all twisted... Ahead of her she could see the spinning figure of Amplisa. She looked like a leaf that was stuck in the middle of a storm. Shanna managed to manoeuvre herself just behind Amplisa and with a slight push, she aimed her towards an old exit. Shanna tried to follow but she knew as soon and she pushed Amplisa that she would not be getting out the same way. Like a powerful wind, Shanna was blown deeper into the Emerald dream. She felt herself hit something extremely hard and so everything went dark...

When Shanna awoke she was dazed and confused. Her head was hurting and everything felt foggy. Shanna looked across the landscape, although the lay of the land felt familiar, something was missing. Shanna sat down next to a calm sea and tried to clear her mind as to mimic the sea. But she knew that something was not right. Shanna decided to get to higher ground. She could just see mountains in the distant so she decided to start walking. Shanna had a feeling of the familiar again. Hours seemed to pass and this mountain was difficult to climb but, with a number of rests, she got to the summit. Looking behind her she could see a fast forest of ancient trees and in front of her she could just make out the twilight grove. Shanna sighed and looked at the trail going down. Just as she started to move there was a feeling, a pulling to the northwest, faint but there none the less. Shanna looked to the northwest but could not see anything, so she decided to make for twilight grove knowing that it was closest to her. She started her decent, it was a lot faster than climbing but that’s only to be expected. Half way down she stopped and realized something that she didn’t notice at first. She was still just above the canopy and looked out to the west. There was no sea! Just endless forests. Is dawned on her that she was in the dream. At first twilight grove was just a handy place of reference but now it was an exit. “How long have I been here?.. How deep am I?” Shanna went down as fast as she could, setting of small rock slides here and there but she just wanted to get out. Hours past and Shanna finally reached the grove but to her horror the exit simply was not there! She sat down exhausted and scared that she would never leave the dream, Shanna burst into tears. After a few hours of feeling sorry for herself she decided that something had to be done. It was time to think of a way out of here. The same feeling that she had when she was on the mountain washed across her. A feeling that something was too the Northwest, it was still weak but it had such a pull. Shanna gathered up her thoughts and decided that the northwest was probably going to be her best choice of getting out of the dream. After a while she got to where the shore of Westfall was meant to be, but there was no sea but endless forests. “So here there is no maelstrom or great sea... So this is how it use to be.” And so she walked through dense untamed forests, sat by cooling lakes and streams. Shanna had never been this far into the dream and never for this long. Shanna rested for days at a time, for everyday that she traveled she took at least a half day resting. She was awe struck at the beauty of the dream this far down. With two legs is seemed to take a very long time to travel to the Northwest, but she felt at ease, the pulling feeling got a little stronger each day. Something familiar. In all this the foggy feeling didn’t leave her and neither did the feeling of confusion. After a time Shanna got use to these feelings and started to take her time getting to the Northwest. She wanted to explore the drowned lands, but a part of her knew that she should keep going to the Northwest. To Shanna years past in her travels, at times she would talk to herself just to keep herself company, and the feeling was now intense. She was pulled to Nordrassil, it was powerful and showed to her as a guiding light. She walked up to it, talking to herself, and touched the roots... She was engulfed in light.
