(( This is the start of the forum topic where each of our characters will tell a small part of the events in Zul'Farrak. I tried to keep my part shorter than last time, though I might add a second part when a few others have did their part. Please do add your own parts! The day was ending as Celegil sat next to the Moonwell in the small outpost of Thalanaar. She was looking at the characteristic landscape of Thousand Needles while she slowly stroked her Nightsaber Thalindra over her neck. The cat was whimpering slightly with its intelligent eyes, looking at Celegil. As Celegil watched her, she could almost feel as if the cat was trying to tell her that this would be a bloody night. As Celegil rose up, she saw the others arriving. Caliyen, Karael, Amplisa...all armed to the teeth with weapons. She grunted and whispered to herself: "The Trollish bastards will die by our swords and bows, The Goddess and the Waywatcher wish it to be so." The cat was right.

Karael hunkered down beside the wall, it's crumbling side giving some scant cover to the sprawling courtyard the four of them had come to. It was in a state, as the rest of the ruin was, and crawling with Trolls. The smell of them permeated the place, filling the air and swirling around them just as the sand from the desert did. It was clear they were not of the Trolls they had killed to reach this point, not Sandfury. No, they were forest Trolls, of the Hakkari. This had to be reported on. Karael peered out at the patrolling Trolls and the groups of them standing and talking, others relaxing. They surrounded a large pit full of water. It was immense and almost out of place amongst the Ruin and so drew the eye to it, along with the ornate gong standing at one end. With a small shake of her head, Karael continued to look around. With a small frown she saw four cages at the opposite end of the courtyard, and they seemed to be filled with... something or someone. It was hard to tell from here. Looking back to Elder Starfire, Karael whispered, her voice low and urgent. 'There, across the way, Elder. Do you see? They have prisoners. It is... hard to make out who exactly at this distance...' Salabadon moved to crouch beside and take a look, just as Shandaril stood warily just out of view, and Caliyen knelt with her sword at the ready, her eyes flitting back the way they had came and forward to the way ahead, ever watchful for trouble. 'I see, Sister. They have captives, it seems', said Salabadon, sounding at once sad and troubled by this revelation. Caliyen stole a quick glance at the cages, before going back to her watch. 'They cannot be left here to their fate. Not in Trollish hands', she attested, firm in her opinion. Shandaril offered a small nod from where she waited, agreeing. 'I would not wish such a fate on my worst enemy'. Karael looked at her Cousin and smiled slightly. 'And you, Elder? What do you advise?'. Karael looked to Salabadon, waiting on his word. 'We take them out of here', he said with a small sigh. 'We take them from here and then report the tidings regarding these Trolls.' Karael took a deep breath, frowning still as Moonfrost pressed against her thigh. Patting the she-wolf and looking down at the beast's muzzle, wet with troll blood, she spoke up. 'Then we move. Quickly and firmly, kill all that see us.' And with that word, Caliyen forged ahead, quiet and deadly as she cleaved a surprised Troll's head from its shoulders and the group moved slowly but surely forward.

Amplisa wiped her forehead with a handerchief.
"Accursed heat" she thought. As she had yet to visit a desert before, she hadn't dressed for the weather, to say the least. She sat on the hot sand, in her leather armour, and two sheated swords.
She let the piece of cloth fall to the ground, and took a sip from her canteen of water, and peeked towards the flaming sun.
"Breaks over!" She heard Celegil exclaim, and rose to her feet with a sigh, and unsheated one of the swords. In glee she poked one of the slain trolls with her sword, and smiled at the bloodied sand.
