Eluwe entered the temple and let the feeling of peace wash over her. A young novice smiled and offered her some fruit from a basket, Eluwe politely refused and made her way to the moonwell situated at the temples centre. As she approached the worn steps leading to the wells edge a feeling of unease caused her to stumble. Righting herself and glancing about to make sure no one had noticed, the young priestess forced herself to the wells edge and collapsed onto her knees. Clutching her silver holy symbol in both hands she bowed her head and began the correct words of prayer only to have them slip from her mind. With a whispered groan Eluwe looked up at the statue of her goddess, “Mother help me. The darkness comes ever closer. I feel it lurking behind every tree. I see it in every face. I....” Her words trailed off and she bowed her head once more, tears falling freely down her tattooed face. Visions of her last battle filled her mind; the Tauren made a brave charge and felled several Sentinels with his huge club. Eluwe turned, panic threatening to overcome her, the Tauren turned to her and roared his battle cry. A sudden calm surrounded the Night Elf Priestess, a cold, seductive feeling of power caused her to smile cruelly. Her hand shot forth and the Tauren’s roar turned into a scream as unknown horrors assaulted his mind, as he stood frozen in fear Eluwe made another gesture and dark light erupted from her outstretched palm lancing the Tauren in the chest. After the battle, the remainder of which Eluwe was struggling to remember, the Priestess was congratulated by the party she had fought alongside. Back in the temple Eluwe felt a gentle hand on her shoulder, “Sister are you ok? You have been sitting here the whole night” Eluwe rose to her feet and looked the senior priestess in the eye, “I am fine sister, I am fine”. Without a backwards glance Eluwe walked out into the quiet day drawing her cowl to shield her from the weak sun.
