Cata release plans?
So, is your plans for the 7th and beyond.
I'll be pretty focused on leveling sveraes, preferable through Battlegrounds and instances, because I intend to do quests without objective tracker and other cheater tools.
Deliaris will probably stay level 80 for a while. But she can certainly still show up for RP everywhere in the world.
RPwise. Sveraes has gone a bit mad now, not totally, but still. There should be some fun to be had, if he goes barking mad. He goes barking Worgen.
Deliaris still wants to get better at fighting somehow. So that she can do something.
What is your plans?

I think we have plans to do some of our levelling IC, particularly Hyjal. With that in mind, I'll be levelling my 80 priest first/rolling worgen alts.

I will be away at work again on the 9th for two weeks so no wow for me till I get home on crimbo eve( hopefully). So I Might miss yous lvling in hyjal ic so I will lvl venni first then van then worry about my other 80s. Not gonna rush to roll a worgon/goblin as the starting zones will be too busy for my liking. Hope the lvling ain't gonna be to taxing doing it over and over but it is always good to see it from the hordes perspective as well.

I'll probably mix my Worgen alt levelling along with levelling Celegil through: Vashj'ir > Deepholm > Uldum > Twilight Highlands.
I'll leave Hyjal for our guild events.

Twas the night before cataclysm and no creatures stirred, not even a devilsaur. Oh well nearly there folks, so who is the odds on favourite to be the first lvl 85 in the guild? If it's you don't be shy and just admit your going for it ;P

Well, if we're counting alts, I reckon Caliyen will be the first to get a toon to 85. I nearly said Vaelitha, but she has more RL these days. I would indeed like to do some RP questing on Mount Hyjal; for one thing, it's very much relevant and the sort of thing our characters would do IC, and for another, it's a nice way to RP in a very visible way. A lot of the quests are kinda "you are the hero who saved Cenarius/insert lore demigod here" so there'll be a lot of finessing as we go along. Either our characters will have a "peripheral" role in these events, or we'll say "that's not Cenarius, that's just a Keeper" and such. Anyway, if you want to be part of that, please do any levelling via Vash'jir, so we don't get out of phase with each other on Hyjal. Needless to say, if IC questing doesn't sound like much fun, don't feel obliged; it's anyway a bit of an experiment for us as a guild. I propose that we have a go at it on Wednesday evening, then depending on how far we get and how much fun it was, we'll decide how much more to do IC. I'll post updates on what quests we've got to, so that people who miss a session can catch up for the next time, if there is one. I'll also put a placeholder on the calendar for, er, Sunday evening, leaving our options open as to what we might do, but shout if that's terrible timing.

So I restarted the game as instructed to get the cata stuff activated. And of course the servers are too busy to let me back in.

Well, on Wednesday it was just Celegil and myself, so we decided to postpone the Hyjal questing thing for a time when people were around. Thursday night we had a bunch of people, so off we went... but I think we quickly discovered that it wasn't much fun. RPing quests feels awfully slow when you're used to doing it the normal way, and on the RP side, the given story line mostly doesn't allow that much room for interesting interactions. On top of this, I think we've now done all the Mount Hyjal quests that aren't specifically "you just rescued a GOD, dude, you're SO EPIC, have a new helmet".
So, my feeling at this point is that IC questing was an interesting experiment that doesn't cry out to be repeated. If anyone's keen to do more of it, however, I'd suggest trying groups of just two or maximum three people, so as to be able to keep it moving at a decent speed without sacrificing the RP entirely.
Meanwhile, please, nobody feel obliged to hold off on Mount Hyjal quests, unless you're still mad keen to do them in-character; there'll be lots of dailies we can do there together if we want, and it will be fun to RP there post-phasing. Rites at the Shrine of Malorne, perhaps?
I'm chewing on a couple of ideas for Sunday; suggestions welcome.

We did the first 2 quests killing elementals and feeding faerie dragons. Then we gathered the fragments of the staff, killed the elementals and cultists. Then we weakened geddon and saved the scout. That is what we did.
I've been doing some on sveraes to get the head enchant. And because the place is epic. There are a lot more quests. But even the quests we did kinda involve personally helping Malfurion and such.
For the IC questing part, I think it would be better to go along the zone much slower and focus on having some RP. As questing becomes mostly about how many of items of z you need, and where we go.
Alternatively. One can make an alternate character (with MRP description and everything) And then have that, character resurrect demigods and all that jazz. - Arch druid Sevros Thornsong.

I'm with you on the "going much slower", Sveraes, I think the only way to make the RP interesting is to have a lot more going on than what's directly provided for in the quests themselves. But then, why even bother with the quests? Let's do all that at a post-phasing stage, just creatively using the zone for our own stories. I think that would be a lot more fun.
