Hey guys,
This would normally belong in the offline thread, but I made a separate one because it's so distinctively disruptive. In a nutshell, as many of you know I've just started a professional development training course, which continues until 21 Nov. I was expecting it to be pretty heavy, but it turns out to be altogether overwhelming - to put it in perspective, I have four weekends to research and write 20,000 words of assignments. The upshot of this is that I will be MOSTLY OFFLINE from now until then.
I haven't gone completely; in particular, I plan to be around next Thursday, for what is due to be our final trip to Ulduar. My being busy lately has led to the pace of that plot flagging somewhat, and it's high time we wrapped it up before people start getting thoroughly sick of it.
I also haven't gone permanently: I will most definitely be back, and normal Aldy services will resume, after 21 Nov.
However, I am going to be pretty much absent for the next month, so I have decided to hand over my guild management responsibilities to Celegil for that period. This is a temporary move; he promises to let me have my guild back when I return. I do think it's overwhelmingly preferable to the drag of having an absent GM for a whole month. Here's hoping Celegil remembers to be nice to everyone.
As I mentioned, the Ulduar plot will be wrapping up within the week; I'll make sure everything's in place for a smooth and fitting "end" (if end is really the right word to use here). From that point I will leave plot (or just plotless bits and bobs) in the hands of you guys (notably Caliyen and Vaelitha, this not being Celegil's forte) until my return. Rest assured that I have a hundred fiendish ideas for us to mess around with in December.
Finally, for anyone alarmed by my recently reduced activity, this has been a consequence of moving house, and this course I'm now doing. After 21 Nov, both will be comfortably behind me, and I expect to have both time and energy to devote myself to WoM just as much as I have in the past.
