I really like it a lot but you need some patience when watching it. Especially the first two episodes are rather slow in terms of story progression. It quickly picks up after that though and the fifth episode of last sunday was the best of them all. Anyway, it really depends what kind of person you are to enjoy it. If you liked Rome, you will like this even better. You also need to have a strong stomache. Some of the death scenes (jousting pole through the throat) are extremely gruesome and even had me slightly frowning eyebrows in disgust. There is also a LOT of sex and nudity in the series. Anyway, there's a preview and some trailers on IMDB and You Tube including a 15 minute preview which was released before the first episode. If you are intrueged by the 15 minutes, I'd say give it a watch. What you shouldn't do though is start following the series from episode 6 on sunday, you won't understand a thing of it. You really need to start with episode 1 and follow it from there.

The dialogue is too quiet. That's my biggest complaint.

The imp is awesome! I burned through all five episodes since yesterday, and it's among the better stuff out there. Sometimes abit too much pr0n though.

The imp is the best thing about it, for sure - he's also the most pleasing character in the books, I think. It's exciting to see a much-loved novel brought to life, especially when the writers are so faithful (at least in spirit) to the story, but it's really nowhere near as good as the novel.
The dramatic ending of last week's episode, where (being careful to avoid spoilers) one character meets with an unexpected and grisly death, was an utter wimp-out. It deserved to be far, far more horrible - and considering all the horse-lopping and blood-spurting we've had so far, I don't really get why they were so coy about this.
I can't say I object to all the nakedness and what have you; it reminds me a bit of "The Tudors" and fits exactly with the tone of the book.
