Name
Kaylaneh Nightwind
Race and Class
Kaldorei, Warrior
Observable Traits
From a distance, Kaylaneh doesn’t look very much like a woman. More like a tall Human male with purple skin, glowy eyes and long ears. Coming closer, Kaylaneh appears to be a tall woman with an extremely sharp face and expression thus making her not extremely desirable considering the Kaldorei norm. Kaylaneh has relatively short green to blue hair and a common tattoo adorning her face.
Kaylaneh’s clothing consists of a light chainmail armor fortified with light elunite plate protection around the armor joints. The armor looks to be relatively light considering the protective properties, allowing Kaylaneh to move around with ease.
Family
Kaylaneh has quite a large family. The closest to her are her parents, Lonai and Pelon. She also has a brother named Taron. All of them have lived in Starfall Village for their entire lives. Apart from them, Kaylaneh also has a number of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Background
Kaylaneh was born 784 years ago in Starfall Village, Winterspring. Her family had been pawnbrokers for their entire lives and as such, Kaylaneh was set to follow them in their footsteps. When Kaylaneh reached around the age of 60, she was found to have a natural affinity to Elune’s powers, a sign that one could become a Priestess after training. Following her time as an initiate, Kaylaneh became a full Priestess at the age of 150 and served the Temple of Elune in and around Mount Hyjal for more than 600 years. During this time, she still kept her profession as a pawnbroker beside the work in the Temple. As such, Kaylaneh travelled often from Starfall Village to the port of Auberdine. Since these journeys were often through wild lands, attacks by wild animals were not uncommon. This was where Kaylaneh learned most of her fighting skills combined with minor Sentinel training at the Temple.
When the Orcs came to Kalimdor along with the demons, Kaylaneh left her Temple duties behind to safekeep her own family in Starfall Village. As such, she totally missed the great battle at Hyjal but instead protected her family deep in the wilds of Winterspring along with her aunt who was an old Sentinel.
After the great battle, the Sisterhood discovered that Kaylaneh had forsaken her duties at Hyjal to safe keep her family. Kaylaneh was kicked out of the Sisterhood as a result. Having little elsewhere to go, Kaylaneh decided to remain with her family again for a number of years, doing the pawnbroker work she had done so for many centuries.
A few years later, emissaries of the Argent Dawn came to the village of Starfall. Though Kaylaneh’s parents were distrustful of these strange white skinned humans, Kaylaneh was rather intrigued. Following a number of conversation’s she decided to join the Argent Dawn and was send to Lordaeron to fight the Scourge. Because Kaylaneh hadn’t been channeling Elune’s magics for a number of years, her healing skills were rusty. As such she only served as a minor medic and healer. Kaylaneh was found to be far more effective at fighting and as such, she was awarded with a light chainmail armor which she still keeps today.
Following a long campaign in Lordaeron and later Northrend, Kaylaneh finally returned to her homeland a few months after the Cataclysm hit.
Personal Notes
Kaylaneh is a relatively calm woman who finds joy in life in the little things such as drawing, reading and making wooden figurines. She has no mate nor children.
Kaylaneh’s personality is mostly quite friendly, even to outsiders which is definitely not the norm considering her family comes from an insular society in remote Winterspring. This was molded during the time in Lordaeron and Northrend.
Her use of Darnassian at times is rather plain and simple as most of her family talk like this. Her common on the other hand is well-practiced.
Reputation
Kaylaneh’s reputation in her home village Starfall is excellent. She’s known as a hard worker, great woodcarver and a gentle soul. In the Sisterhood, her reputation is mixed. Some remember Kaylaneh by her stainless record till a decade ago, others think it was a sin for her to abandon the Sisterhood for her family in times of great Kaldorei peril.
Ideals
Kaylaneh is a no-nonsense personality. She mainly wants her family to be safe and sound and wants the best for the Kaldorei people. Kaylaneh has no immediate plans to find a suitable mate nor the desire for children.
