Name: Caranir Elmheart
Race and Class: Kaldorei Warrior
Observable traits:
Tall and broad shouldered, Caranir has an upright bearing and a confident manner. Despite usually being encumbered under weapons, armour and baggage he still appears energetic and eager. His face is angular and proud, his voice sharp and authoritative.
Family:
An only child, Caranir's parents died during the War of the Shifting Sands.
Background:
Raised on the slopes of Mount Hyjal over four thousand years ago, Caranir was born to a pair of wardens in the service of the Cenarion Circle. Both of them dedicated servants of the druids, his parents spent his childhood preparing him for the same purpose and he duly became a warden.
The War of the Shifting Sands saw both of his parents slain in battle with the Qiraji before Fandral Staghelm, reeling with the loss of his own son, called the retreat. Caranir, now embittered against the insect foe, fought with ferocity in the Kaldorei rearguard. He survived relatively unscathed through the later battles and the eventual victory that saw the creation of the Scarab Wall.
Remaining with the Circle, he was posted to Moonglade and later to Hyjal where he fought in the Third War. The next few decades would see him travel to Felwood, Northrend and even Outland while accompanying druids on expedition. He has proven to be a loyal, dependable servant of the Circle and is well respected, although he keeps few friends.
Caranir's reasons for joining the Way are not entirely clear, he offers various explanations but they seem to lack conviction.
Personal notes:
Caranir is a warrior through and through; his knowledge of warfare and all things related seems near-comprehensive but this focus can make him appear unimaginative or ignorant in other areas. His training and service with the Circle's wardens has left his expectations of other people somewhat jaded; he often appears bemused or bewildered by ill-disciplined or impractical kaldorei.
